The need for heavy-duty towing calls for a monster like the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. It’s able to tow up to 17,800 pounds with a fifth-wheel hookup and over 4,000 pounds of payload, so the Silverado 2500 HD can help you transport just about anything that needs moving. And, because it is not as burly as the mammoth 3500 HD, the 2500 HD Silverado model provides a more nimble feel than its bigger brother.
Silverado 3500 HD
This is one of the beefiest trucks on the market. With its optional 397-horsepower 6.6L turbo-diesel V8 and six-speed Allison transmission, the Chevy Silverado 3500 HD is equipped to haul over 6,300 pounds of payload and tow a generous 21,700 pounds with a fifth-wheel trailer. Are you sure you can handle the Silverado 3500 HD?

Neal Litvack, Chief Development Officer of the Red Cross had this to say: "The impact of Hurricane Sandy is being assessed up and down the East Coast and even further west, and the road to recovery will be long for many families. GM's generous donation of vehicles and finances will help the American Red Cross to respond with shelter, food and care, aiding affected residents now and after the storm, as they move toward recovery".
