Did you know that the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was powered by GMC?

Last updated 5 years ago

Did you see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday? There were an estimated 50 million viewers that tuned in to watch the 86th annual edition of the parade. But here's a little known fact that most people don't know. Without GMC, the parade couldn't happen! Did you know that all 55 floats were pulled by a GMC Vehicle?

For 32 consecutive years the float has been powered by GMC. This year 2 brand new 2013 Acadia Denalis, 13 Sierra and 40 Yukon/Yukon XLs made sure that all of the viewers at home got to see these larger than life tributes to American icons "float" down the New York City streets.
