Buick drivers LOVE IntelliLink, there’s no doubt about that. They love it so much so that they told Buick to make it standard on all of the new 2013 models and guess what…Buick listened! Not only is it going to going to set the standard for luxury for all of the other brands to follow, but more importantly it’s going to keep Buick drivers safer with the advanced real time over the air help.
IntelliLink debuted on the 2012 Verano and is currently available on the regal sport sedan and LaCrosse sedan. IntelliLink is designed to be used with two hands on the wheel and was created with an emphasis on minimizing distractions. The version that will be coming standard on the 2013 will integrate more functionality into the system’s voice control commands.
One of the new features that will be loaded into all of the 2013 versions of IntelliLink will be the ability to say “More like this” when a song is playing either through an iPod, USB media device or Pandora. Saying this will activate Gracenote media database and then create a playlist based off of that song.
Other updates include added features for SiriusXM Tune Select, which will allow drivers and passengers to tag an artist or song name, triggering on-screen notification whenever a favorite tune plays. It will also include Travel Link, which will show nearby gas prices, movie showtimes, weather reports, etc.
To speed the use of IntelliLink and keep your eyes on the road, “Quick Info” will allow fast access to the most popular features of IntelliLink. Also added for ease is the “Transfer to Private” icon that will allow a Bluetooth-paired phone call to be moved off of the vehicles speakerphone.
