Do you remember the Super Bowl? If you remember, Chevrolet's involvement was HUGE. So, what's the next sporting event you can see the bow tie brand involved with heavily? In July you will again see Chevrolet involved with Football, or should we say Futbol?
Taking place in July, you will see the Chevrolet China Cup. In addition to the partnership with Barclay's Premiere League Manchester United, Chevrolet also announced a partnership with the One World Futbol Project, an organization focused on sustaining play for youth in impoverished regions through a revolutionary, virtually indestructible Futbol. Since its inception in 2010, the organization has affected more than 525,000 lives in 137 countries! They have helped have helped schools, orphanages, and nonprofits use sport to resolve conflicts, teach tolerance and build communities.
Chevrolet has pledged to donate 1.5 million One World Futbols over the next three years to organizations working with youth living in war-stricken zones, refugee camps, disaster areas and other disadvantaged communities. Chevy is the first corporate sponsor of the One World Futbol Project.
"The One World Futbol Project celebrates a primary value that is very close to Chevrolet, and that is football can touch lives, provide opportunities and bring positive change to people throughout the world. The beauty of futbol is as much about the people as it is the game. One World Futbol Project has the potential to rally millions throughout the world to join in this effort, resulting in a global movement for the good of the game and people who are passionate about it. That's the kind of movement Chevrolet is committed to lead." - Joel Ewanick, GM Global Chief Marketing Officer
