The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC FASTRAK Touring Series makes it's first stop of the season at Sharon Speedway on Saturday, May 28th. The race will be a part of the Bill Emig Memorial “Wild Card Weekend”.
The race also marks the first charitable event put on by the series. Punxsutawney High school Junior, Tori Martin, has spearheaded "Race for the Cure." Martin’s goal is to raise thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society with the help of FASTRAK and the racing fraternity. A first ever FASTRAK “King of the Hill” paying $500 to-win along with a multitude of other fund raising activities will be part of the festivities.
So if you are looking for a great way to spend Saturday night with your family, check out the race on Saturday. Adult admission is $13. Students 9-13 are $5. Kids eight and under are free. The family pass is $32 for mom, dad, and four kids 13 and under. Pit passes are $30. The grandstands open at 5 and racing begins at 7.
Also, Congratulations to last week's winner at Huberstone Speedway in Canada Max Blair!
